How to make a real rainbow in 1 minute?

You probably wondered at least few times what is at the end of the rainbow, how it arises and, above all, why it is so colorful. The rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that can be seen in the sky as a multicolored arc. What does science say about rainbow?

The creation of the rainbow is due to several facts. Let’s start with the fact that light can often be treated as waves. White light is really light, which consists of many waves of different wavelengths – for example: shorter waves are responsible for purple than for red. Under certain conditions, by passing white light through some material (glass, crystal, water or even air), we can separate these waves in space – it is thanks to this phenomenon that a rainbow is created, i.e. light split into beams of different color.

It’s important to remember that the colors of the split light are not random and follow each other in a certain order.
